The Nandi Senator recently told Kenyan women to ask the former Starehe MP to relinquish his seat because it does not suit him; it should be held by a woman.

"Right now we have a problem with female gender top up in the country which we should have solved a long time ago. However, there is a grown-up man with beards who has taken a slot that belongs to women. I want to tell him to give you back your seat," remarked Cherargei.

He spoke at a church function on Sunday in Aldai constituency, Nandi County, where a host of county leaders led by Nandi Governor Stephen Sang had attended.

Cherargei further railed at Kamanda saying that his scheme to sabotage Jubilee will not see the light of day.

"I want to tell you without fear that your evil schemes will not succeed in Jesus name," the senator warned.

Kamanda is allied to "Team Kieleweke"- a faction opposed to Ruto's 2022 presidency - which has of late been castigating the DP on his leadership style.

Charargei also told the nominated MP not to talk about the fight against corruption because his record as a councillor in the Nairobi speaks of illegal acquisition of plots.

"Na usituambie mambo ya ufisadi. Madai inasemekana wakati ulikuwa councillor, nyinyo ni baadhi ya watu mliiba ploti pale Nairobi kila mahali hadi buruburu (Don't tell us about corruption. Claims are that when you were a councillor, you are among those who grabbed plots in Nairobi even in Buruburu), charged the Nandi Senator.

He advised Kamanda to subject himself to investigations by DCI before telling others about the war against graft.
