Speaking during an interview on KBC English Service, Wednesday, Weda who doubles up as an Advocate of the High Court doubted Obado’s possible involvement in the killing.

Basing on his legal experience, Weda noted that Obado has solely landed in suspicion because of his popularity and romantic relationship with the slain beauty.

With reports indicating that Obado had offered to give in to Sharon’s demands, including purchasing her a house, and had as well disclosed their relationship to his family, Weda noted that he had no reason to have her killed.

‘’Obado is only being dragged into the issue because of his relationship with the deceased and his popularity. He would still come out clean if he were to be prosecuted,’’ he said.

‘’He had even offered to buy her a house and opened up on the issue with his family, he took responsibility, so I do not see the reason why he would again go back and want her killed,’’ added Weda.

Sharon’s murder followed her abduction in Rongo, Migori County two weeks ago, and was two days later found murdered in a forest in Homabay County.

Obado has since been grilled over the murder and publicly admitted to having had a relationship with the second year Medical Records student.
