Ivingoni-Nzambani Ward Representative Harisson Mutie has declared he will run for Kibwezi East parliamentary seat in 2022.
Mutie who doubles up as the Deputy Speaker at the Makueni County assembly told this writer on Monday that he has what it takes to take the seat in 2022.
The seat is currently held by Jessica Mbalu who has on several cases been rumoured to deputise one of the gubernatorial seat contenders in 2022.
"There are rumours that the MP Jessica Mbalu will deputise one of the candidates in 2022 if that happens I will vie for the parliamentary seat and represent my people in the National Assembly even when a child finishes class one he is taken to class two," said Mutie on phone.
Mutie urged youths to vie for various seats in 2022 to ensure youth representation is grown.
He said that most youths have been reluctant to go for elective seats in the country.
"We should prove to Kenyans that even youths can deliver diligently when elected," he said.
