The body of Chacha Olupe, a Tanzanian national was on Tuesday found hanging from a tree in a thicket in Muhuru Bay area, in what the police consider a case of suicide.

Confirming the incident, Migori County Police Commander Joseph Nthenge said that the reasons that might have led him to take his own life are still unknown, reports Citizen Digital.

Nthege noted that officers are searching for his relatives who they hope will share information that might help in solving the case.

The police boss on Tuesday said that an autopsy has been done on the body of the deceased, adding that they are waiting for the postmortem results before deciding the next move.

This comes barely two months after another man committed suicide in Central Kadem within the same county after reportedly having a domestic disagreement with his wife.

35-year-old Jack Marire stabbed his wife to death before hanging himself inside a gold mine.
