The two lawmakers argue that the appointments once again sidelined the Kamba community.

Speaking separately in Kitui Town on Saturday, the MPs wondered why President Uhuru Kenyatta is sidelining the region in his government.

The MPs said that the Kamba community has been left in the cold in terms of state appointments.

"We are concerned to why our community is being left in the state appointments the President continues to make," Nguna said.

Nguna stated that the Kamba community has experienced and learned people who can serve in various positions if given a chance.

He said that their alleged exclusion is worrying them, adding that they too deserve recognition in terms of being appointed.

"I have raised these issue and it is now evident that as a community we have no say, " Mbai said.

Mbai pleaded with President Kenyatta urging him to remember the community.

He said that Ukambani voted for president Kenyatta in the repeat Presidential election in October last year and that the region should be part of the government.

Last week, Mbai had asked the President to appoint a Kamba to his Cabinet.

He claimed that the Kamba community is not represented in President Kenyatta's Cabinet.

On Friday, President Kenyatta made a mini-reshuffle to his Cabinet and also made several state appointments.
