Mr Obado who accompanied Deputy President William Ruto in launching of Kemera-Kiendege-Gachuba-Girango-Keumbu road and subsequent fund raiser at Nyabururu, asked locals to pray for him.

“If you pray for me, I will get out of the crocodile’s mouth,” he said.

But Raila's team led by party treasurer Timothy Bosire and Vice Chairperson Janet Ong'era have accused Obado of unfairly dragging Raila to his 'political and social issues'

Bosire said Obado should solve his issues without necessarily dragging his party leaders who has got 'absolutely nothing' to do with his woes.

"It is sad that he's attacking Raila for his own political and social problems. He should first take a break and deal with his issues without implicating serious Kenyans like Raila."

On her part, Ong'era asked Mr Obado to first find figurative meaning of crocodile in Raila's public rallies.

"He misinterpreted the use of crocodiles by Raila. He has nothing to do with his political woes and that is a matter he should tread carefully with."

Mr Obado is said to have used the term crocodiles usually used by Raila to explain how the system thwarted his presidential ambitions to underscore a point that it's Raila who orchastrated his problems.

Last month, the second term ODM governor was released from prison on bond over the death of his girlfriend Sharon Otieno, a matter his supporters have often accused Raila of instigating.
