President Uhuru Kenyatta said he was pleased to have taken breakfast on Friday morning at Raila Odinga's Bondo home during his last tour to Nyanza region.

After breakfast meeting, Uhuru, in the company of several local leaders, drove to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology for a ceremony.

Upon arrival, the Head of State was ushered in by Mr Odinga at his Opoda Farm, and the two were later joined by Ida Odinga, Babu Owino, Jimmy Wanjigi and Oburu Oginga.

Although details of the meeting between the duo remain scanty, Raila Odinga also said he was pleased to host the president at his rural home.

The two gave brief speeches after receiving honorary degrees from the institution, which marked the culmination of a trip that dominated local media headlines.
