Speaking on Sunday during the grand opening of AIC Kasina church in Mlolongo, Kalonzo said the church should question individuals making huge donations before accepting them.

He observed that there's need for explanation about the origin of the money.

The former Vice President lamented that there is too much corruption in the country stating that graft is not only in the National level but also at the grassroots.

”If someone steals Sh1 billion in Kenya, it is like he has not stolen,” said Kalonzo.

He also criticized the church for not questioning leaders who donate large amounts of money to them.

“Someone donating Sh1 billion and you do not ask where he has gotten it from? You should start asking questions. When the church is compromised, where does the country go?,” Kalonzo insisted.

The Wiper party leader also said it was important that the country conducts a referendum before 2022 polls so as to set systems right.

He noted that Kenyans should question the leaders if systems fail.
