Without a doubt, Emmy Kosgei is Kalenjin’s most renowned artist.

She appeals to every gospel fan out there.

Swift on her footsteps is a budding songstress, known as Fay Tall.

We do have a shortage of musicians with nationwide appeal, as a community, something that even Msupa S tried to bridge. However, Fay Tall is something different, and we hope she keeps the Kalenjin flag shining, apart, of course, from our athletes.

Although she does renditions of popular secular songs, her flawless execution in mother tongue, that is Kalenjin, will leave you wowed, wanting more and more from Fay Tall.

Fay Tall has done Kalenjin covers to two songs already: Otile Brown’s Baby Love and Will Paul’s Njiwa. The two covers are quite an earful, if you know what I mean.

She offers a certain kind of freshness to the Kalenjin music scene, away from the dreary, riddle-filled music that we are accustomed to.

As a fan of the songstress, I can only hope that she produces a song of her own, in the same prowess she has shown in her tow covers.

Musically, I can authoritatively say that there is a new ‘sheriff’ in town. My hope is that she continues churning those covers as she prepares to take a leap into her own creations.
