Police in Njoro Sub County have launched a manhunt for two suspects who are said to have sustained serious gun wounds after a botched night robbery mission in Kihingo trading centre.
According to Njoro OCPD Mohammed Huka, the police managed to arrest three suspects who are in custody with one in a critical condition after he sustained head injury from bullets.
“We are calling on members of the public to be on the alert and help the police trace the thugs who escaped,” said OCPD in a phone interview on Wednesday.
The thugs are said to have been in a group of eight where three managed to escape unhurt. They are believed to have been in a mission and had already managed to break into two shops.
Kihingo residents say they have been raising concerns over increased insecurity in the area and have been staging demonstrations to air their grievances.
