Sometimes back in August 2018, a campus student who claimed to be Aden Duale's son went public on his political stand and revealed an intention to venture into active campus politics.

Arafat Noor Abdullahi, a Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology student shocked many when he claimed he was Duale's son, a relationship that he later clarified as being political.

Despite his prior confessions to being Duale's son, Arafat took a U-turn to claim he was just but a 'political son' and that the Garissa Township MP was his personal mentor on matters politics.

What shocked netizens, even more, is the fact that the JKUAT student, who is least known beyond his village, just surfaced from the blues to make a social media statement on his political ambitions.

And even then, the National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale stayed away from commenting on the issue, a thing that made the story die a natural death.

Since then, Arafat has since resorted to concentrating on his academics as matters politics take the back seat on his personal priorities.
