The DP gave the directive in Tharaka Nithi county on Monday, where he noted that the projects must be completed within the speculated time, or have them taken away.

He said that a contractor handling one of the projects in the area has lost his tender already, after flouting contract of the construction of the Gatunga-Marimanti-Chiakariga road.

The DP added that the Chinese contractor has failed to complete the job since 2016, affecting the Jubilee Government's appeal to better infrastructure in the nation.

The contractor behind Keeria-Matunguni-Kathwana and Chogoria-Weru Roads have also lost their tenders, he added.

“Government has already terminated contracts after the assigned contractors failed to adhere to the agreed timeline and many others are set for cancelation,” he was quoted by the Standard.

Ruto who was accompanied by area leaders led by Governor Muthomi Njuki and Senator Kithure Kindiki also promised lots of goodies, including more roads and the expansion of the Tharaka Nithi College.

The leaders pledged their support for Ruto's 2022 presidential bid, as per the Jubilee Party's 2013 20-year leadership plan.
