Outspoken Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo on Wednesday celebrated two major victories as Court of Appeal ruled in favour of embattled Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter.
Besides having his election nullified, Keter was also implicated in criminal activities including vote bribery that could have dented his political career.
And through lawyer Amollo, the MP applied to have his victory reinstated besides having the court vindicating him of any criminal culpability as implied in High Court ruling by Justice Kanyi Kimondo.
"The Court Of Appeal has, once again, shown fidelity to the law devoid of political shenanigans.
"Honoured & Humbled to have acted for Hon Alfred Keter whose Election is now affirmed," wrote Otiende on his Twitter.
Justice Erastus Githinji reversed High Court ruling, stating that there was no evidence to voter bribery and undue influence adding that the defendant could not establish if Keter campaigned beyond stipulated time.
The latest ruling is a reprieve to Keter who will now not face electorates of criminal charges if at all his challenger fails to move to Supreme Court.
Lawyer Otiende, a former Ombudsman, also played part in Raila Odinga's Supreme Court victory against President Uhuru Kenyatta last year.
