Nairobi-based Gor Mahia occupy second place in the league table and January signing Oliech has played a pivotal role in that success under Gor’s head coach Hassan Oktay.

The Kogalo striker had a slow start in the premier league and was deemed too old for the game, but he in return silenced his critics after scoring the winning goal as they edged out Posta Rangers 2-1 in the league to kick start his campaign.

Oliech shone against Mount Kenya in January with a goal and assist in a 4-1 win, before maintaining his spot in the Gor starting lineup after a run of scintillating performances and capped his start to life with the green army with a goal in a 4-2 demolition of Zamalek.

Oliech has been a beast in front of goal, scoring four goals for Gor Mahia in all competitions. That productivity places him among the top of the club’s goal scoring chart three goals behind talisman Jacques Tuyisenge.

His athleticism and eye for goal makes him a great asset for Gor Mahia and his consistency even when the team is having a bad game usually makes him stand out from the rest.
