The internet has been lit with arguments and counter-arguments over the visit by former US president Barrack Obama to Kenya.
One of the issues that caught the eye of observers was whether Obama wanted to meet Sonko in his stopover in Nairobi.
In a photo that has been trending online, Obama is seen posing for a photo with President Uhuru Kenyatta, DP William Ruto, Obama’s sister Auma and Foreign Affairs CS Monica Juma while Sonko is seen looking on from the back in what some have interpreted as a jealous look.
The governor wears a dejected look and appears isolated.
Previously, Sonko has had oral battles with a section of Statehouse officials and this could be taken as the doing of these officials to hit back at Sonko.
However, others have viewed it as a deliberate snub by Obama himself as Sonko has in the past proven to bypass Statehouse hurdles and get his way in public.
