Freemasons hall have always been linked to devil worship. Eldoret town has this hall and some pastors once decided to visit the much-dreaded place on a cleansing mission.
It was on May 1, 2002, when two pastors decided to storm the hall located just outside Eldoret town Central Business District (CBD), off Eldoret-Nakuru where they held a 30-minute ceremony.
The two clergymen, Pastor Murage Karanja, the then director of Mercy Ministries International and Pastor Wellingtone Shiraku of Power House Centre led faithful in praying and worshiping as they sprinkled the building with anointing oil.
“We have been sent by God to come and anoint this hall and we are rebuking the power of the Devil that will be hovering in this compound,” said Pastor Karanja during the ceremony.
They had planned to enter into the church and worship in but it never happened as the caretaker ran into her house and locked the door from inside.
The caretaker was later identified as Alice Ikesi and admitted that she has been taking care of the Freemasons hall with her husband Henry Ikesi for more than three years. She, however, said they are not members of the group.
Those two pastors no longer have churches in Eldoret town, with one of them, Pst. Karanja said to have relocated to Nyandarua, his home county.
There has been a lot of myths regarding the operations of Freemasons in Kenya and have been linked to satanic activities. Many people have been polarized to react negatively to Freemasons with some even claiming that those who subscribe to it drink human blood.
