The fake news spread like wildlife before the Ukambani political kingpin came forth to dismiss the claims.

Speaking to a local daily, Kalonzo confirmed that the wife was doing well after spending months in Germany where she was undergoing treatment.

“There is no cause for alarm, Mama is alive but still unwell,” he said.

Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior also took to social media and warned Kenyans against spreading the news about Kalonzo’s wife’s alleged death.

He asked Kenyans to pray for Pauline as she underwent treatment at the foreign nation.

“Those circulating rumours of the well-being of Pauline Musyoka should stop. She is well and we should all pray for her quick recovery” he wrote.

The news of the alleged death came days after the Presidential election.

Kalonzo decided to leave the country alongside his wife even as the National Super Alliance (NASA) leader struggled to push for what they termed as irreducible minimums following their defeat in the Presidential race.

ODM leader Raila Amolo Odinga continued to assure the opposition supporters that Kalonzo was part of them as they strived to reach what they termed as 'The Promised Land'.
