President Uhuru Kenyatta has angered ODM politician Samuel Omwando following his decision to appoint former Inspector General Joseph Boinnet into government.
Omwando claimed that Uhuru is taking youths for granted.
"How come Uhuru can appoint Boinnet who successfully retired. He is a total disgrace to youths in this country because he has valued ageing people unlike young and energetic individuals," he said.
According to the vocal politician, the Head of State should consider changing his mind and appoint a different person.
"I wish to challenged Mr Kenyatta to change his appointment. Boinnet need time to rest after he served in the police force. We can't continue having few individuals being recycled in government," he stated.
He appealed to NASA leader Raila Odinga to advise Mr Kenyatta accordingly when appointing people into government.
"Boinnet should go home and enjoy his pension. Keeping him in another office is unacceptable," he added.
This comes after Uhuru on Wednesday appointed Mr Boinnet to serve as the new Chief Administrative Secretary at the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife docket just two days after he tenure in the police boss came to an end.
