It is no longer a secret that Deputy President William Ruto and Garissa Township Aden Duale are inseparable duo.
On Monday, the vocal politicians presided over a funds drive for several Islamic institutions in the Garissa Township constituency, before he proceeding to Garissa KMTC for another function.
The duo managed to raise huge amounts in the fund raiser.
It can now be revealed that DP Ruto and Duale helped raise a whooping Ksh 28 Million shillings within two hours.
The amount is inclusive of contributions from other well-wishers including local politicians and the local residents alike.
Revealing the amount, Garissa Township legislator Aden Duale took to his Facebook page on Monday evening and thanked the DP for supporting him morally and financially, a thing he said made the day a success.
"H.E. @WilliamsRuto, allow me to take this early opportunity to say thank you very much for the wonderful support you gave me in both Moral and Financial. You were such a key person in my successful event.We managed to raise 28MI shall always remain thankful.God bless you," Duale posted.
The jovial gesture of DP Ruto in the event has made him a household name, with many openly expressing contentment in his Monday visit to the region.
