Speaking on Thursday, the vocal lawmaker who has since declared his presidential bid in the polls said that he could join another party to realise his presidential dream.

He said that his stay in Jubilee will depend on whether there will be a democratic presidential nomination, failure to which he will go for another party's ticket to seek the presidency.

This he said with regards to Deputy President and Jubilee Deputy Party Leader William Ruto's ambition for the same seat, adding that he will not condone possible bias.

"I will go for the nominations but only if I feel that it will be a democratic process. Otherwise, I will not take myself to the slaughterhouse," he said on Milele FM's Kivumbi Show.

The MP also spoke on recent allegations that he is considering reviving the rather sleepy Democratic Party of Kenya (DP) and leading a section of Mt Kenya leaders to join the party.

Kuria said that he has friends from the party and will make such a consideration when the time comes, but currently remains a strong member of Jubilee.

"Wakati huo ukifika nitaamua lakini kwa sasa ninabaki mwanachama wa Jubilee (I'll make a decision when that time comes but for now I am a Jubilee Party member)," he added.
