Speaking in Lokichar on Saturday, Nanok who is in office on the ODM ticket said that he will join the remaining 14 Governors from Rift Valley in aiding Ruto to realize his bid, a race that could pit him against ODM leader Raila Odinga.

However, Sifuna now says that unless the party's members in the county write a formal complaint letter to the headquarters in Nairobi, then no punitive measures can be taken against the Governor.

He added that no letter has been written so far, which means that Nanok will continue enjoying his calm.

"Tuko na procedures. Tuko na wanachama kule Turkana na ndio tunsongoja malalamishi yao ndipo tuanze (we have out procedures. We have our members in Turkana and are still awaiting their complains before beginning the process)," he said.

Sifuna who doubles up as a lawyer and a former Nairobi senatorial hopeful was speaking on Milele FM's Kivumbi show on Wednesday morning.

"Kwa sasa hatujapata malalamishi yoyote (we have not received any complains from them as of now)," he added.

Nanok made the remarks in the presence of Ruto who was in the county for a three day official tour.

He also vowed to back the DP in his fight agisnt the looming Raila-supported referendum poll.
