Kitany claimed that she was used to lure the then Igembe South MP to a Naivasha hotel to prevent him from appearing in parliament, where he was pushing for the impeachment of then Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru.

According to the former Subukia MP, such incident is not unique to Linturi as it has been in existence since independence.

He recalled at how Kitutu Chache North MP Jimmy Angweny too found himself in a similar situation when they were both in parliament, and ended up being found in a hotel with the minister whose conduct he had questioned in parliament.

"One time Jimmy Angweny wanted to question a cabinet minister in parliament but when the day came he went missing. After a search, he was found with the same person at Intercontinental hotel. It was a shame. (Wakati mmoja Jimmy Angweny alitaka kuuliza swali bungeni lakini siku ya kuuliza swali hakupatikana. Alipofuatwa alipatikana katika hoteli ya Intercontinental na yule waziri aliyeshitakiwa. Ilikuwa aibu tupu)," Koigi said on Radio Sauti Ya Mwananchi's Cheche show.

While Koigi's attempt to make a comeback to politics through the Nakuru senatorial seat in the 2017 polls flopped, Angweny remains deeply active.
