A man in Moi's Bridge on the outskirts of Eldoret town was on Thursday busted in broad daylight engaging in a sexual act with a chicken.
Known to the locals as only Marende, the man is said to have tricked the chicken with some of the maize grains into a designated place before doing the unthinkable to it.
According to a passerby, Caroline Atieno, who caught the man engaging the hen in the unnatural act, she heard some scary sounds from the hen and thought that it was a dog or something else chasing the hen and she went to check out.
Atieno said she was shocked to see the man tightly holding on the hen prompting her to wail in a bid to seek help from locals.
On realising that the neighbours had been alerted, the 29-year old man escaped leaving behind the hen that had already died.
"It's really disturbing to see such a grown up doing that. Very shameful indeed. We know the man very well and we are going to find him and take appropriate actions against him," Joseph Sergon, the owner of the chicken said.
Police in the area has now launched a manhunt for the suspect who has since gone into hiding.
