The party has launched campaigns in the constituency in a bid to hand the seat back to MP Chris Karan whose 2017 election was annulled by the Supreme Court in December.

The party on Saturday dispatched a rather big delegation for campaigns in Ugenya, including a section of its top-most leadership.

They included Secretary General Edwin Sifuna and his deputy Agnes Zani, a tact very likely to bring good results.

Also present were leaders from neighboring counties, including Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang', and Uriri MP Mark Nyamita (Migori county).

This, apart from attracting massive crowds to the campaigns, will make it easy to convince them to vote for Karan.

The inclusion of the two groups of leaders portrays Karan as a largely accepted leader.

This will easily influence the voters and make it easy for them to once again trust Karan with their votes.

Also, in a region where the party enjoys massive admiration, such numbers of leaders makes it appear like the party has stalled all its operations to campaign for its candidate.

This will most likely touch the hearts of the people to vote in exchange.

The plan is also to portray Karan's rivals led by former MP David Ochieng' as lone soldiers who enjoy no support.

This might easily influence the people to vote in favour of the man appearing to enjoy the most support as he appears more likely to be right.

Therefore, the party stands a better chance of winning should it stick to the new tact.
