The recent switch of presenters from one station to the other has become a trend. Mediamax’s raid on Royal Media Services presenters could prove bad for both sides.

Felix Oduor aka Jalang’o is a very great comedian and widely known by many. Jalang’o has been hosting the Hot 96 FM breakfast show alongside Jeff Koinange.

In April 2017, Jalang’o ditched Standard Media Group’s Radio Maisha to join Hot 96 FM. He left a big gap which never got filled. Jalang’o left Radio Maisha, leaving behind his pair Alex Mwakideu, who couldn’t find a great pair as they were.

Jalang’o will be looking to join Milele FM after comedian Otoyo left the station for Radio Maisha.

So far, several Royal Media Service presenters have already left to Milele FM. They include Royal Media Services Head of Radio Citizen Joyce Gituro, Jambo Kenya presenters Francis Luchivya and comedian Wilbroda.

It is believed the massive exodus at Mediamax is attributed to the return of RMS insider and veteran journalist Peter Opondo.

He rejoined the station in April working as the group executive editor.

Opondo is working hard to bring in a great work power at Mediamax which has been struggling for the audience after dominance by Nation Media Group and Standard Group.
