Women Rep finally speaks on woman in sex video

Wajir Women Representative Fatuma Gedi has finally spoken up about the alleged sex video which was leaked online last month.

Gedi who was speaking over the weekend at Soko Mjinga in Wajir Town said she is not the woman in the sex video.

The outspoken Women Rep came out to dismiss the sex tape claiming that the video was leaked to destroy her political career.

“I am not the woman in the sex footage. The video is only meant to soil my reputation and taint my image. This is just a hurdle and we will overcome,” she said as quoted by

The intimate video of a woman alleged to be the Woman Rep was been doing rounds on social media platforms when it was released on December 19.

In the one-minute sex video that was leaked online, the woman of Somali descent alleged to be Gedi is seen with an unidentified man.

The authenticity of the sex video could not, however, be verified.

The Women Rep thanked the people of Wajir County and everyone who stood with her after the sex video was leaked.

“I thank the people of Wajir for standing with me when a few individuals who wanted to kill my political ambitions created a fake video. Only God knows the truth,” she added.
