Ruto, while speaking when he laid a foundation stone for the construction of Nyamonyo KMTC, on Friday warned Raila against intimidating elected leaders.

"The former Prime Minister should stop threatening ODM MPs who are joining hands with me to serve Kenyans. This is time we should put our political parties aside and serve the people," he said.

The Deputy President called on ODM MPs not to succumb to the cheap threats and focus on quality service delivery.

"MPs being summoned by ODM leadership because of attending the functions I am presiding should not be scared because it is the electorates who voted for them and not the party. Everyone has a right to express him or herself," he stated.

He reiterated that Raila's intimidation and blackmail to MPs allied to ODM won't make him President in 2022.

"It is only through the ballot a leader is elected. Kenyans will make a choice in 2022," he added.
