Speaking on Milele FM's Kivumbi Show Monday morning, Andati observed that the DP lacks some very important resources which he will need to make it to the top.

He said that Ruto lacks popular support and is only being fanned by people who love him for his generosity, and who might not be observing him as a suitable leader.

According to the commentator, the fame and popularity the DP seems to be asking in is largely to do with his tendency to splash money whenever he goes.

"Ruto lacks the popular support like some of the people he might face in the race including opposition leader Raila Odinga. People only love him because he is generous" he said.

He added that Ruto will also suffer from his open heart upon the open of the campaign window, saying that he is not a man known to have big networks that can finance him.

Consequently, he added, the DP might with time fall short of finances and end up failing to fully campaign for his bid.

"He might have gathered some funds in the course of his tenure but is not known to have friends who can finance him. Since he is a man who gives money wherever he goes, it is very likely that his funds will be finished before the elections," he added.

He noted that Ruto's only saviour is President Uhuru Kenyatta.

According to the commentator, should the apparent hostility between the two intensify, then Ruto will be left stranded.
