With health being among the agenda 4 of President Uhuru Kenyatta legacy appeal for the second and last term in office, Kisii county will taste the fruit of this President agendum when he visits the county tomorrow where the President will launch a 250-bed capacity male ward at Kisii Teaching and Referal Hospital KTRH.

In a statement released from the Kisii Governor, James Ongwae office on the afternoon of Tuesday 19th February 2019 just a day to the president visit, its revealed that President Uhuru Kenyatta will tomorrow launch a two hundred and fifty (250) bed capacity male ward at the Kisii Teaching and Referal Hospital  that is entitled to reduce overcrowding of patient's and boost health sector as a whole in the area. 

"The ward has been under construction for a couple of months and now is free to be used from tomorrow, it being fitted with all the necessities," noted in the statement.

This comes a day after the Kisii county nurses called off their strike in which they gave the county government sixty days to fulfill their demands.

In a cross-section view taken from the residents of Daraja Mbili the residents have welcomed the news and gave their support to the county government and national at large saying that the move is of more developments.

Kisii being among the counties that devolution has bared fruits has gone into several transformations in the health sector since the Genesis of devolution in the country and is in the progress of development.
