Apparently, men who got wind of her win started bombarding her with unending calls.

In a recorded call shared by the flamboyant Nairobi governor in the form of a reply to a comment, the lady is heard bemoaning her plight to Sonko.

"But I have to delete my number from there coz nimeanza kusumbuliwa na watu...Siunajua tu mafisi. They are calling me and texting me," the lady laments to the governor.

Sonko had called the lady to request her to post a screenshot of the Mpesa message she had received so as to prove that the challenge was real and not a fraud.

According to the governor, over ten people bagged the quick cash.

The challenge entailed translating his Kiambu counterpart Ferdinand Waititu's words uttered in Kikuyu during an interview with a vernacular television station.

Waititu appeared to implicate former Starehe Member of Parliament Maina Kamanda in land-grabbing in a number of places in Nairobi County.

Sonko said that the challenge was prompted by his desire to know what was being said.
