Former National Assembly Deputy Speaker Farah Maalim has for the first time revealed people who have benefited from his generosity.
On his Twitter account, Mr Maalim denied claims that he has ever been on the payroll of any county, saying that doctors, paramedics and engineers from Wajir County than MPs from that county.
"I have never been on the payroll of any county. I have educated more doctors, paramedics & Engineers from Wajir than most MPs from that county. I proudly continue to do the same today. Young cursed aasi kids to cast aspersions on my integrity because of legal opinion!!!" Maalim tweeted.
The angry tweet, a response to aspersions on his integrity, marks an escalation in the tension between the former MP and MPs from North Eastern Kenya.
Maalim lost his battle to unseat Aden Duale in the Garissa Township Parliamentary contest in 2017.
