The followers argue that claims by certain people that their 'master' is a fake preacher are false and meant to tarnish  his name.

In an interview on Tuesday,  Prophet Owuor's followers said that he  is a true servant of God who is performing real miracles based on faith.

“It is bad and malicious for some people to claim that Dr Owuor is a fake. Such people should prepare for punishment,” a follower of the famous prophet who sought anonymity said.

The follower   who  is  lives in Nairobi’s Huruma  area claims that he was born blind but was healed by Owuor in 2015.

He said that Owuor's teachings are based on the Bible and that people should leave him to do God’s work.

Mercy (second name withheld) says that those condemning her prophet should be ashamed.

She claims  that Owuor has established himself as the only true servant of God in Kenya.

“I have been following Prophet Owuor for the last 10 years and I have never experienced anything that should make me doubt his miracles or healings,” she said.

Mercy claimed that some churches and prominent people are feeling jealous of miracles from Owour’s ministry and are out to tarnish his name.

“We will defend him because we have seen and also experienced his miracles,” Mercy added.

Owour's miracles at Nairobi’s City Park last weekend have continued to illicit debates and reactions on whether he is a true servant of God or not.

On Sunday, the Atheists Association of Kenya called for Owuor’s arrest and prosecution on allegations that he is duping followers through fake miracles.

The association claimed that it has evidence to show that Owuor is  allegedly faking miracles.
