The body of a middle-aged man was on Saturday morning found lying at an idle land in Athi River, Machakos County.
The body was discovered by a woman who was hanging clothes on a balcony at the Backyard apartment in Jua Kali slum.
The deceased identified as Christopher Wambua had knife wounds on the neck.
It's suspected that the man could have been murdered in a nearby bar after a scuffle and then his body dumped at the scene.
According to residents who spoke to this writer, the victim was a well-known butcher in the area.
Residents bitterly condemned the act calling for investigations to be carried and perpetrators brought to book.
This incident comes just a day after a middle-aged man committed suicide by taking poison in Mlolongo town over domestic squabbles.
The man took the action after his wife left him.
