Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has laughed off any chances of opposition leader Raila Odinga achieving his long-time presidential dream in the future.
Speaking on Radio Maisha on Wednesday morning, the former Kakamega Senator claimed that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader is no longer capable of ascending to the top seat.
He noted that Raila’s four defeats in the past are proof that he cannot win the seat and should do himself the favour of avoiding another embarrassment by keeping off the race in the 2022 general election.
‘’Raila hawezi kuwa Rais hapa Kenya. Amejaribu na ameshindwa (his series of losses is proof that he win the presidency. He cannot become the President of Kenya),’’ he said.
He added that his remarks are in no way emanating from any personal differences between him and the former Premier, observing that they are the bitter truth.
He, however, noted that Raila could, after all, vie again in the approaching general election due to his own reasons and bad advice from his allies and supporters.
‘’Japo sisi tunaona amechoka na hawezi, yeye mwenyewe anaona bado ako sawa (according to him, he still stands a chance though to we who are observing him, he is not capable),’’ he added.
Raila is yet to disclose his plans for the race.
