Arsenal Football Club supporters in Kenya and across the World were surprised to see their club forced to restart the match at least 4 times on a final.
Arsenal were beaten 4 goals against one by Chelsea during the Europa League final that was played on Wednesday in Baku (Capital of Azerbaijan), and highly celebrated Kenyan presenter Shaffie Weru could not help the grieving fans.
The presenter took it on Instagram my stories to ridicule the club for accepting to be beaten four goal to one on a final match of the UEFA Europa League.
"Arsenal how will you tell people you were in finals and received 4-1 really didn't Four see this one, (You did not see this coming)," he posted.
Super attacker Eden Hazard combined efforts with former Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud and former Barcelona winger Pedro to inject pain into a hopeful Arsenal.
Giroud scored the opening goal with a fine header before Pedro made it two nil. Hazard added a brace to complete the score.
The final was the only remaining hope for Arsenal FC to make a comeback to the highly coveted UEFA Champions League after years of absence.
The results means Arsenal will once again play in the Europa League come next season, which kicks off in August.
