The former Rarieda lawmaker has been linked with a possible shot at the Siaya gubernatorial seat in the much anticipated race, claims he has rubbished.

In an interview on Citizen TV's News Night on Tuesday night, the Cabinet Secretary without portfolio said that he has no such intentions.

"No, I don't have Siaya gubernatorial ambitions and you will not see me there," he told anchor Hussein Mohammed.

The claims emerged following his newfound friendship with opposition leader Raila Odinga, one of the proceeds of the March 9 truce between Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Tuju also said that he has no intentions of joining hands with Raila's Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), the most popular party in Siaya and the entire Nyanza region.

He lashed out at members of Jubilee terming him an ODM mole, noting that he has never been a member of the party and has no plans of being one.

"I have never been a member of ODM. People should stop linking me to the party just because I am a Luo. I was on the opposite side even when things were very tough," he added.

Other persons expected to go for the seat include area Senator James Orengo and former Rarieda lawmaker Fred Gumbo.
