Outwardly, Kamba politicians project a united front, but the reality on the ground is different.

Is there a story unfolding in your community? Let Hivisasa know

The Kamba community has waited for power for decades. It is evident that it could take longer for this community to see one of their own ascending to power in this nation if the current events in Ukambani are anything we can go by.

When Kamba leaders meet, they wine and dine together. But when they appear for press conferences and interviews, they fire salvos at each other. Who cursed the Kamba nation?

The rift between former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka and Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has revealed many things Kenyans didn’t know about the region's politicians.

Kibwana, together with his counterparts Alfred Mutua (Machakos) and Charity Ngilu (Kitui) have affirmed that they will unite to decide the community's future.

The leaders believe that  Kalonzo has failed to lead the community for decades and time has come for change.

Sometime back, Kibwana said he cannot be forced to endorse Kalonzo for the presidency, a statement that led to cracks in Wiper.

In a quick rejoinder,  former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama came out in Kalonzo's defense asserting that he is the only hope for the Kamba community.

The political woes among these leaders make it hard for them to enable one of their own to become a president.
