The CS has been under criticism pressure to resign from a section of leaders who are opposed to his ministry's plans to import 12 million bags of maize.

Speaking in Nyeri County on Sunday, he bashed his critics who he accused of using the debate to fight him politically, insisting that the proposed importation is necessary.

Etale on Monday observed that the rant was targeted by ODM leader Raila Odinga who has also questioned the move, accusing him of taking out his emotions on the former Premier.

Etale observed that the truth of the matter is that the CS has lost his admiration among farmers and should not expect his rants to unchain him from a statement he publicly made.

"It is not good for a whole CS who publicly declared that they were going to import maize to curb shortage try to spin his own undertaking by insulting Raila Odinga to try and whip emotions. Kiunjuri stop being vague. Farmers hate you. They do," he wrote on Monday.

A section of Western Kenya and North Rift leaders have urged him to buy all the maize lying in farmers' stores before opting out of the country.
