Kiambu Women Rep Gathoni wa Muchomba admitted that MPs under the order of Majority Leader Aden Duale were bribed within parliament to reject the report, something that has not gone well with locals.

Shadrack Mose (Kitutu Masaba), Joash Nyamoko (North Mugirango), Jerusha Momanyi (Nyamira), Vincent Kemosi (West Mugirango) and Kitutu Chache South's Richard Onyonka dominated social media groups over the claims.

"If someone can just receive Sh10,000 for handouts, do we really expect performance? These people should resign as early as yesterday. They are a disgrace," said Freddie Ongeri on Kitutu Masaba Forum.

Moseti Moseti added: "It was a good catch for our MP (Shadrack Mose) since he doubled his sitting allowances. I wish him all the best because we also need such handouts for survival."

In the same group, Pius Nyakundi accused the MPs of 'learning' a lot from DP William Ruto, who they have been campaigning in the region for months now.

"Just like their master, they could not think about ordinary people. It is about looting and promising fake development. Four years is a little period and we shall hit back."

Despite the allegations, none of the MPs has come out to deny a list that was published by Citizen Weekly with only their backers terming the publication as 'malicious'.
