Miguna questioned why leaders flocked former President Daniel Moi's home in Kabarak to console and mourn the death of his son when Jonathan had a family and a home.

"Jonathan Moi had his own home in Eldama Ravine. Why should anyone mourn him at Kabarak? Was he a baby?" asked Miguna.

"Why should Ruto have gone to Kabarak to see Daniel Toroitich Moi when Jonathan Moi's immediate family are in Eldama Ravine?" he exclaimed.

Miguna's defence of the DP comes barely after speculations were raised that he was not to be allowed to pay Mzee Daniel Moi a visit to mourn the loss of his eldest son.

On Wednesday, DP Ruto visited the late Jonathan's family in Eldama Ravine and speculations were raised that he was 'blocked' from accessing the former President's homestead for a second time.

The DP described the deceased as an enthusiastic, diligent, dedicated and hardworking Kenyan who made many friends.

"Jonathan Moi's humble disposition and wit won him many friends and a huge fan base from rally enthusiasts. He valued hard work, diligence and dedication to whatever he put his mind to. His passing on is a great loss, not only to his family but to the country," Ruto eulogised the former celebrated rally driver.
