For months now, Ruto's allies have faulted planned lifestyle audit, insisting that it targets the DP.

Speaking in Nyamira on Friday, ODM leader Raila Odinga hinted a possible plot to have Ruto nabbed, in his 20 minute speech that revolved around graft war.

"It is sad that when someone is mentioned in corrupt deals, he drags along his community for cover-up.

"I assure you, whether he makes noise through his allies, he won't make it. We shall ensure he accounts for everything, he can't run away from this," said Raila in an indirect reference to Ruto.

Speakers in the event during the burial of Ndemo Nyagarama, governor John Nyagarama's son, also accused Rift Valley MPs of allegedly defending graft.

And Raila, preempted an impending crackdown that would see many top government officials arrested.

"You can't steal throughout. Your day are numbered. Just wait, you'll see what you've never heard before."

Last month, a UK firm hinted a possible plot to impeach DP William Ruto over corruption related scams.

In a TV interview However, Ruto has often dismissed claims that he has engaged in corruption related activities.

"I William Ruto, assure Kenyans that throughout my life, I've never engaged in corruption deals," he said.
