Narc party leader Martha Karua came out on Sunday to correct Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s statement over a review on the constitution to see President Uhuru Kenyatta vie for another term as president.
She opposed the proposal, calling for the Wiper leader's respect for the constitutional provisions for the presidential terms.
“This goes against the spirit of the constitution! we must respect term limits which Uhuru Kenyatta has publicly stated he will Kalonzo Musyoka, Hear ye!” said Martha Karua.
She went ahead to attach the former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti’s tweet in which she appeared to have endorsed her party leader's call to extend Uhuru’s term in power.
The former presidential candidate Martha Karua wants the constitution followed and nothing changed in favour of some politicians.
This comes days after Kalonzo’s camp agreed to back changes in the constitution to make Uhuru vie for another term in office.
Kalonzo insisted that the Head of State has done a good job and that giving him another chance in office would still be a good thing for Kenyans.
