Former Chief Justice Willy Mutunga is a man who needs no introduction to any Kenyan who understands where we are coming and heading to as a nation.
In an exclusive interview with Standard, his third born, Al-Amin revealed that the former head of the Judiciary is a football fanatic.
He noted that his father is ever watching football matches but interestingly doesn’t support a single club.
He also said that he used to think that Mutunga was a Manchester United fan, but it turned out that he isn’t.
Al-Amin also said that the former Chief Justice often enjoys styles of play of different players including the likes of Lionel Messi among others.
“He is a football fanatic, but apparently does not watch it the way other people do,” he said.
Regarding the earing the retired Chief Justice is ever seen wearing even in public, the children revealed that they faced criticisms over their father’s choices, but they were okay with the whole story.
They noted that they were impressed with their father’s sense of fashion because he was ever wearing suits.
They also revealed that nothing much changed in their lives when he was given the post. The retired CJ has kept a low profile since he retired from office.
