According to Citizen Digital, the unidentified suspect was apprehended in Migori county on Sunday afternoon and is currently being held by detectives handling the issue at the Migori Police Station.

This comes amid an ongoing probe to nab the second year Medical Records student's killers, with 2 suspects having already been arraigned over the murder.

These are Migori Governor Okoth Obado's aide Michael Oyamo and former Homabay Member of County Assembly (MCA) Lawrence Mula, who have been implicated in the murder.

Governor Obado whose name has also featured in the same has as well been grilled.

The county chief, however, has since distanced himself from the heinous act, calling for a fast probe and stern punitive measures against the perpetrators.

"I want to make it categorically clear that it had nothing and absolutely nothing to do with the cruel murder of Sharon," he said in a press conference on Wednesday.

Sharon was abducted alongside Nation reporter Barrack Oduor in Rongo, Migori county on the night of Monday, September 3, and was 2 days later found dead in Kodera Forest, Homabay County.

Obado has since admitted to having had a romantic relationship with the slain beauty who was 7 months pregnant at the time of her death.
