This comes amid a heated exchange between the DP's camp and opposition leader Raila Odinga's quarters, regarding Raila's truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta and the graft purge.

Speaking in Nairobi on Sunday, Rongo Member of Parliament Paul Abuor took issue with Ruto's negative remarks against the ongoing fight against corruption.

He revealed that plans are in place to subject the DP to drastic measures, saying that plans are in place to impeach him for obstructing the campaign.

“We now know you are an impediment to the war against corruption. If this continues, we will bring an impeachment motion against Ruto,” he was quoted by the Standard.

Speaking in Limuru, Kiambu county, Mathare MP Anthony Oluoch said Ruto has demonstrated his discomfort in Jubilee Party and must now exit and establish his own party.

He stressed on the need for Ruto to do this ahead of his 2022 presidential bid and approach the elections on his new platform.

“If it has come to a point where you cannot respect this Government then leave and go form your own party and start the journey for the 2022 General Election,” Oluoch said.

The leader spoke while in the company of Uhuru's allies led by nominated MP Maina Kamanda.
