Kisii County MP Janet Ong'era has rubbished claims by a section of politicians that Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i is serving a top position in government unlike DP Ruto.
Ong'era while speaking when he welcomed DP Ruto and Matiang'i to Kisii ahead of President Uhuru Kenyatta's visit on Wednesday described Dr. Ruto and Matiang'i has brothers.
"I want to put it clear that Matiang'i's promotion didn't undermine DP Ruto. Those peddling lies should find something constructive to do," he said.
She appealed to DP Ruto and Matiang'i to ignore critics and focus on offering efficient service to Kenyans.
"Kenyans expect more from Matiang'i and DP Ruto. I therefore, urge the two leaders to work closely and coordinate government functions towards the realization of the President's Big 4 Agenda," she added.
The vocal MP said it was a pleasure for Kisii county leadership to host the top leaders to witness the President commissioning development projects.
"It is a privilege that Kisii county is reaping big from the handshake. The presence of the President, his deputy, Raila Odinga and CJ Maraga among other top leaders being in the county is such a blessing," she noted.
