The defiant MCAs are yet to pass the budget that has grounded some of the county's activities.

The Kitui county lawmakers have vowed not to pass the budget until when Ngilu’s administration will properly account for the previous budgets.

A meeting convened last month between Ngilu and MCAs failed to bear fruits.

According to Citizen Weekly , Ngilu has convened another closed-door meeting with the MCAs.

The meeting is set for Friday in Masinga, Machakos County.

Ngilu is said to have sent out text messages to the MCAs urging them to attend the meeting.

“Good afternoon honorable members. You are all invited for the second consultative meeting with our governor at Cobos Hotel in Masinga on Friday @10 am. Kindly be punctual,” reads an SMS sent to the MCAs and seen by Citizen Weekly.

Ngilu is also said to have reached out to Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka to intervene even as she engages the MCAs.

A section of MCAs has vowed not to pass the supplementary budget.

They are accusing Ngilu of overseeing a corrupt administration.

The county legislators have also threatened to impeach the NARC governor.

Ngilu, on the other hand, accuses MCAs of demanding luxury retreats in Mombasa.

She has denied running a corrupt government stating that she is not afraid of being impeached.
