Matungulu MP Stephen Mule has opposed government's consideration on abolishing boarding schools.

Speaking on Sunday in Tala town Mule said that abolishing boarding schools won't solve unrest that has over the weeks rocked many schools. 

He said that the Ministry of Education should instead find ways of solving unrest in schools saying that the abolishment would be a desperate move.

"Abolishing the boarding schools wouldn't be advisable. Amina Mohammed should go back to the drawing board and find a solution to the unrest in school," said Mule.

He said that school adminstrations should put up rules that will contain the students and prevent them from causing unrest.

He cited that the ministry should know that it's not only boarding schools that have cases of unrest.

Mule added that school supervisors who were there years ago days should be brought back to monitor and keep schools in check.

"Sometime back, there were school supervisors who would visit schools unannounced and check on its progress they helped by keeping schools in check but nowadays they are unheard of," stated the MP

" Where did they go yet we didn't have a motion in Parliament to do away with them?" he posed
