Traditionally, police and military choppers only serves top commanders and statesmen  whenever such calamities arises and so as in Obwocha's case.

While lauding President Uhuru Kenyatta, the Ford Kenya MP said Obwocha's contributions to the country did not go noticed by the Head of State and his administration.

"Just in a rare show, you can see we were even given a police chopper. This is an indication that the man in front of us was great across the region," said Kemosi.

He added: "Because of his good deeds to the republic, the President had to chip in and clear most of the bills. We should emulate him all the times not only in his death but also in future."

Present during the reception of the body at Nyamira Primary were Governor John Nyagarama, First Lady Naomi Nyagarama, Senator Okong'o Mogeni and Borabu MP Ben Momenyi.

Obwocha, who also served as West Mugirango MP for three uninterrupted terms, will be laid to rest on Friday in a ceremony that would feature ODM leader Raila Odinga.
