Albert Wekesa had backed Harambee Stars' impressive striker Michael Olunga to score a goal anytime in the first half, with the odds of 8.75.

The second-year student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Information Science revealed that he had traveled to watch the game live at Kasarani Stadium, and placed the bet using Sh12,000 that he had won the previous night.

"Olunga is a dangerous striker Kenya has ever had and with the ball at his leg, he can score at any angle. On checking on the odds placed against him, I was so much surprised that I placed my bet in his favor," he said.

It, however, didn't take long before Olunga, currently playing for back the Kashiwa Reysol, scored the first goal for Harambee Stars in the 23rd minute, earning the student Sh105,000.

"After placing the bet, I prayed that Olunga gets the ball for I knew his potential. I really thank Olunga for gifting me this gift on my first day watching a Harambee Stars game. Thank you Olunga," he added.

The student now says that he would spend some of the money to pay rent and fee before deliberating on the next move with the remaining amount of money.
